Bumpdate

Cruising through my third trimester, and I wanted to share a little “bumpdate” with y’all...because time seriously flies. I feel like it was just yesterday that I announced Jay and I were expecting…and now I can’t see my toes!

Cravings

Currently, my cravings include veggies from Norma’s Cafe (glazed carrots, corn & green beans)...not too bad, huh? Wait for it...and homemade, fluffy biscuits with honey. #ComfortFood

I frequent this diner a few times a week. A little embarrassing, but soooo worth it! The other day I showed up, and the sweet southern waitress came by and said, “We thought that was you. You are wearing the same shirt! I told everyone in the back to give you a break…I know not much fits right now!” I very easily could have been offended, but I just started cracking up laughing. There is no need to get offended these days. Yep. It’s me. Yep. I am wearing the same outfit. Yep. I just ordered the exact same thing. I will probably be back tomorrow!

LOL!

Thankfully, instead of ice cream, I’ve been craving protein shakes LIKE CRAZY. The recipe I threw together below tastes almost like ice cream or cake in a cup...at least that is what my pregnancy taste buds think. I love it!

Syd’s Shake

-Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (30 Calories)

-Ice

-One Scoop 310 Nutrition Plant-Based Vanilla Protein Blend

-Two Spoonfuls Chocolate PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder

-A Few Dashes Of Cinnamon

-One Organic Banana

Add the ingredients above, in that order, to your blender—I personally love the NutriBullet small 18 oz. cup. Mix them all together. Easy! Let me know if you end up making a shake. I wonder if y’all will like it as much as I do. It is seriously so delish, I think I will make one right now! #SydsShake

Symptoms

I feel like a few first trimester symptoms came back this week! Mamas & mamas-to-be…did that happen to you? So crazy! Still feeling good, but I just find my belly and all of these funky symptoms so interesting/fascinating. If you all saw my posts a few months ago, you may remember that the right side of my face was always bright red during the first trimester and a little bit into the second. Well, this morning I woke up, and I have a case of the red face again! Only on the right side, haha. #Hormones

I've gained about 34 lbs. so far. Baby boy is growing bigger and stronger each day, too. Woo hoo!

Products

Some days, you just need a little extra love and pampering.

Here are a few of my favorite products at the moment.

Soap & Glory Rich & “Foamous” Body Wash & Breakfast Scrub

My mom surprised me a few weeks ago with this body wash. She read the description and thought of me. As soon as I tried it, I went back and grabbed the scrub! Both of these products are inexpensive at Target or Walgreens and they smell heavenly—like almonds, oats and brown sugar. They also really do add moisture to your skin leaving you extra soft & smooth. The warm and cozy scent puts me in a great mood!

100% Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Cold-pressed coconut oil is my jam right now! I mean, I have always loved and used it but for some reason lately I just neeeeeed it. I was using Kopari’s coconut melt for awhile, which is amazing and I highly recommend it; but when I ran out recently, I grabbed Vita Coco from Walgreens, and to be completely honest, my skin is even softer this time around. I start with my belly, then chest and neck, my booty and then if I have any left on my hands...everywhere else. I don’t want to be too greasy, especially because I use it morning and night! A little goes a long way. Wait a few minutes after applying, as you don’t want to get it on your clothes. Literally, this stuff is AMAZING.

Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter

I’ve talked about this product before. Jay gave this lotion to me for Mother’s Day this year. After the coconut oil each day, I just apply a little bit of this body butter to my belly, sides and back. I like to tell myself it helps prevent stretch marks!

Similasan Eye Drops

I’ve worn contacts since…I think I was 10-years-old. I was about to have LASIK done and then found out we were expecting, so I will have to give that a go another time! I always have a bottle of Similasan eye drops with me. They work wonders! My favorites are the allergy eye relief, dry eye relief, complete eye relief and computer eye relief. Okay, basically all of them. They are great!

Bloomberri Tanks

These tanks, y’all. Let me rave about them! I discovered this adorable company on Instagram, and decided to order from them—even though they are based in Australia. Shipping was actually rather quick! The second I put on their “all day glow racer” tank, I fell in love. The fabric is incredibly soft. It is form fitting and flattering but has enough stretch that it is not uncomfortable. I noticed I was wanting to wear it every day, so I hopped on their website and grabbed a few more. I was around 5’1” and 100 lbs. pre-pregnancy, so I ordered the XS. It has fit perfectly throughout all three trimesters—stretches right over my growing baby bump! They even have a “milk and love” nursing version, which I happen to be very excited about trying. Overall, this is a great company, and I think it is absolutely worth ordering a tank or two if you are expecting! I also have their “down low” workout pants in XS, and they are comfy as well. I am an under-the-bump kinda girl. I know that everyone is different. They have a few options available!

P.S. These are not sponsored posts/products. Seriously, just my favorites at the moment—hands down.
