Monday Must-Haves

Monday Must-Haves

Each Monday, I am going to share a few of my must-have products/items. I’ll let you know why and how I use them all, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me below. I love to interact, so if you have any must-have items of your own or share a love for the same ones that I do, share them in the comment section!

Neutrogena Face Wipes

I've been using Purpose Gentle Cleansing Face Wash & Moisturizer since high school, and I won’t use anything else {#Basic}, but during my first trimester…and even into my second…I am exhausted at times...especially at night. I just want to jump straight into bed when I get home! These face wipes come in handy when I don’t feel like going through my entire skincare regimen. I’ve tried other face wipes, but my skin is sensitive, and these are my favorite, hands down.

JoySmile Face & Body Brush

There are so many cleansing/exfoliating brushes out there, and if you know of a better one, use it! I did not do any research prior to finding this one. Jay grabbed it for $15 on Amazon. I used it once and instantly fell in love! I use it almost every morning, in the shower {it is waterproof}, because it is soft and gentle but works wonders at the same time. I add a little bit of Purpose Gentle Cleansing Face Wash to the small white microdermabrasion brush and cleanse my face. During pregnancy, I have learned that breakouts here and there come up much easier. I never really dealt with them before, but during my first trimester, they were popping up like nobody’s business. I didn’t want to use anything strong because pregnancy can affect the way your skin reacts to certain products, so I began using this brush, and my skin honestly cleared up so quickly and feels healthy!

Johnson’s Soothing Vapor Bath

I did not experience any morning sickness, BUT I had {and still occasionally have} the worst headaches and migraines. During my first trimester, there were times where I couldn't lift my head off the pillow it hurt so bad. I did anyways...busy bee over here! I still deal with them from time to time, but not as bad. I have always dealt with major headaches. A few years ago I started taking a magnesium supplement and they went away...I thought for good. It is normal for headaches to return during pregnancy due to hormones, so I had a feeling it would happen! My mom taught me a little trick. Johnson’s Baby Soothing Vapor Bath is a cleanser for babies when they have a cold. It is gentle and soothing, but for me…when I use it in the shower each morning or night...it helps relieve my headaches, seriously! I wouldn’t say that they are completely gone, but it is such a noticeable difference that I consider this simple product a must-have. The longer you leave it on after you lather, the better. Even if you don’t deal with headaches, the subtle rosemary, eucalyptus and menthol scent really makes you feel good…and relaxed!

Mustela Prevention Oil or Bio Oil

I am all about prevention. Maybe I will end up with stretch marks...maybe I won’t, but if there is an oil that will help to prevent the appearance of lines and marks, I am all about trying it out! I have used Bio Oil for years...on everything—my body, face, brown spots, any scars, etc., and I will continue to use it. Everyone in my family uses it! I think it is an amazing product. Now, one of my favorite lines, Mustela, has the best prevention oil that I have been using almost every day since I found out I was pregnant. This oil is said to help skin withstand stretching and prevent stretch marks. It leaves my skin so soft and silky. It is hypoallergenic and it is safe for mom and baby! I use this oil every morning, after I shower. I apply it on my hips/legs/thighs, my tummy, and my chest. At the moment, I don’t apply it at night. I feel like I apply enough in the morning that it lasts all day. I may change up that routine as my belly starts to grow!

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin

If you are expecting, you may not be into scents/perfumes, but since I did not experience morning sickness {yet, hopefully won't, lol}, I love a little spritz or two of something invigorating before I go about my day. I have always worn Calvin Klein’s Euphoria, but it feels a little "heavy" for me at the moment, so I opted for something light and fresh...with a twist. Jo Malone’s Lime Basil & Mandarin has always been one of my favorite scents. I love all of her scents! It has a hint of lime, spice and “Caribbean” breeze. It puts me in a great mood and keeps me smelling fresh without being too overpowering!

I will be back next week with more of my favorites! If there is a category of products that you have a question about, let me know below in the comment section. For example, "What hairspray do you use?" or "What is your favorite "pregnancy glow" makeup product?" I would love to get ideas for next Monday's #MustHaves. I put these posts together when I get ready in the morning, so these are all products that I actually use on a daily basis and my real opinions--not sponsored posts. Love y'all!
